Sources revealed that UPSC upper age limit might decrease for the esteemed Civil Services Exam. Lots of UPSC candidates may get upset with this new criterion. The age limit for UPSC aspirants at this time is between 21 to 32years, which qualifies them to appear the exam.
UPSC Upper Age Limit Soon to Revise to 26 or Above for UR or other OBC/SC/ST too
According to new criteria, the upper age limit for UPSC aspirants may decrease to 26. UPSC board may be cutting out the six years age limit for next 5 to 7 years to insulate the current candidates those are already getting ready for the exam. There will be no drop in the upper age limit for SC/ST category and will adhere same.
New Guardian of the IAS Civil Services Exam system
The former Education Secretary B.S. Baswan is the head of the panel directly appointed by honorable PM of India in August last year. The step was taken to change the entire Civil Services Exam system. UPSC upper age limit reduction plan is presently under discussions with Ministry of Personnel.
The committee has completed examining exam structure and all other important things. Earlier the panel was asked to submit the results of their findings in six months, but given further six month additional time to submit the same. The time is almost completed and the results of the analysis may be public by the end of this month or next.
General and OBC category aspirants can give IAS Civil Services Exam for six times whereas there is no restriction for other categories.
Eligibility will remain the same for UPSC Exam
- Aspirants must have a UG Degree from any acknowledged University.
