How new UPSC Exam pattern work

Every year, UPSC conducts the Civil Services Examination and to pass the exam, individuals need to go through three stages of this examination. Candidates have to pass prelims, mains and the personal interview to get recruited in various civil services posts. Lakhs of students from several educational backgrounds appear the prelims exam but only thousands of candidates qualify for the next. Again the same gets repeated in the mains stage and remaining candidates are updated to the next stage.

After successful completion, the selected candidates are informed to report on the respective zones for receiving the recruitment letter. One of the senior officials has confirmed that the previous UPSC exams (in 2014,15 and 16) were conducted in August. In addition, the official has also given confirmation that the prelims examination of Indian Administrative Services will be conducted in the early days of June’17. The official also said that the decision has been made to make sure that the entire examination process will be held on time. The 2013’s Civil Services examination was conducted on May’13.
